Brilliant! Is that how you grow lettuce? I've only ever grown bitter bolting lettuce that I've planted in spring.
Well, in my vast (one season) experience, it worked like a charm! Our grow boxes were in spots of the yard that remained relatively sheltered from wind/cold during the winter, but still managed to get some winter sun.
