That beautiful sight is a 220-volt plug for the dryer that will shortly be ours. I could have kissed the electricians who put this in for us.
(I am more excited about this than I have been about anything in a long, long time. So stay tuned for the VERY EXCITING pictures of our new washer/dryer set!)

I have serious dryer envy . . .and I own a dryer. But it shrinks everything that is put into it, so most of our wet laundry gets strung around the house. Is it sad that one of my greatest longings is for a decent dryer?
We just spent an hour watching our washer wash clothes. This is the first time in a year we've been able to do laundry at home. A truly wonderful thing. Pictures to come.
